Democrats in the Senate seized on a new excuse Wednesday for a vote to not go forth on the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
As Townhall reports, after news broke of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort’s conviction and lawyer Michael Cohen's guilty plea, a number of Democratic Senators cancelled their meetings with Kavanaugh citing President Trump's ties to Manafort and Cohen as the reason why.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer even declared Kavanaugh's nomination should be halted indefinitely.
Several Democrats called Trump a “criminal co-conspirator” and claimed that disqualifies him from naming a nominee.
Republican Senator Chuck Grassley said he has no plans to delay Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing, which starts September 4.
