Democrat Beto O’Rourke, who is locked in a battle for Senate with Republican Ted Cruz in Texas, is doubling down on some of his left-wing agenda items despite losing ground in the polls.
Real Clear politics says O’Rourke is down 7 points and falling.
But, on CNN Thursday, he touted his plan to raise corporate taxes to fund free college for all.
O'Rourke said corporations should "pay their fair share" in order to make it possible for everyone to be able to attend college for free for at least two years.
O'Rourke said in order to generate that revenue, he would "move the corporate tax rate up higher (but) not to where it was," so that "all of us can get ahead."
O'Rourke also said during the CNN town hall event that he would still vote to impeach President Donald Trump.
