The calls for a boycott of burger chain In-N-Out from the California Democratic Party continue over a contribution to the state's Republican Party.

A public filing revealed this week In-N-Out donated $25,000 to the California GOP recently.

In a statement Thursday, In-N-Out Burger's executive vice president Arnie Wensinger said the company "has made equal contributions” to both Democrats and Republicans in support of lawmakers who, “regardless of political affiliation,” align with the company’s policies and values.

But, that wasn’t enough for Eric Bauman, the chairman of the California Democratic Party, who called for the boycott Wednesday.

The move, however, has caused an uptick in supporters buying more burgers from the food chain.
