This is a story of redemption. Each of us have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. This is why Christ came, to bring redemption and reconciliation between us and the Father. There is no past too shattered or broken which the Savior cannot cover with His blood. His love knows no end.
"But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved" Ephesians 2:4-5
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Our Lord draws very near to us in times of grief and difficulty, desiring to pour out His Love, Peace, Comfort, and Consolation upon us. The key to this Beatitude is to totally depend on Our Lord, and release our burdens to Him. He is our Rock, Refuge, and Refreshing Well to renew our heavily laden spirit through Him!
