The drama continues in Florida following the mid-term election as embattled Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes has now rescinded her resignation.
Fox News reports Snipes had agreed to step down from her post in early January, but Republican Gov. Rick Scott decided to immediately suspend Snipes and replace her with his former general counsel, Peter Antonacci.
In his suspension, Scott accused Snipes of misfeasance, incompetence and neglect of duty.
Snipes has come under fire for losing ballots and even destroying ballots in violation of law. Snipes responded to the suspension, which could put her pension at risk, by rescinding her resignation, claiming she will be “"fighting this to the very end."
She says she intends to stay in office until 2020.
