"Boomerphobia": The Baby Boomers are Dangerous?

RSS Feed

Larry Elder discusses the increasing hostility towards the Baby Boomer generation, attributing it to a new divide-and-conquer strategy by those promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. He notes that many of the people he encounters in Hollywood, who were once part of the hippie movement, are now being criticized by younger generations. Elder reflects on his own background, which includes family members who served in World War II and the Vietnam War, and shares that he was raised with a patriotic attitude and a focus on the global communist threat. Despite his academic interest in international relations, Elder chose not to pursue a diplomatic career. He suggests that the vilification of Baby Boomers may be linked to their differing political and social views compared to younger generations, who are more likely to support socialism and show hostility towards Israel.
